Aim

The primary aim of Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry Letters (OPCL) is to promote the rapid dissemination of scientifically rigorous research and emerging developments in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry.

The journal seeks to:

• Promote innovative approaches to the design and synthesis of pharmaceutical and biologically relevant compounds.

Green and Sustainable Chemistry Focus

OPCL particularly encourages research involving innovative synthetic procedures and technologies that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous materials. Contributions demonstrating improvements in atom economy, energy efficiency, catalytic efficiency, solvent selection, waste minimization, safety, and resource utilization are encouraged.

Research involving green chemistry technologies and sustainable approaches to organic and pharmaceutical synthesis is therefore considered within the scope of the journal.

Research Letters

Short papers of approximately 2–8 pages, prepared according to the journal's prescribed format/template, may be submitted as Letters. Such manuscripts may address:

• A specific scientific or technological problem;
• Important preliminary experimental results;
• A novel chemical observation;
• A new synthetic methodology;
• An innovative reaction or transformation;
• A new mechanistic insight;
• A novel pharmaceutical or biologically relevant compound; or
• A scientifically supported new concept.

Letters may present experimental, theoretical, computational, or interdisciplinary research, provided that the work is scientifically sound and relevant to the scope of OPCL.

Peer Review and Publication

All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous international peer-review and editorial evaluation process. Manuscripts are evaluated for originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, relevance, clarity, ethical compliance, and adherence to the journal's publication requirements.

Accepted manuscripts may be published online within approximately 2–3 weeks following completion of the peer-review and editorial process, subject to satisfactory completion of revisions, final editorial approval, and publication formalities.
