Research involving animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Reviews and meta-analyses should follow recognised reporting guidance where appropriate.

The journal prioritises scientific merit, relevance to medical and health sciences, clarity of presentation, and potential contribution to knowledge or practice. Acceptance is based on editorial evaluation and peer-review outcomes rather than the subject area or the conclusions reported.
